Football draft game: build your XI with €600M
In a football draft game nobody hands you a ready-made team: you build it pick by pick, and every pick means giving something else up. Project XI is a free football draft game in your browser, no account needed: eleven picks in a 4-3-3, a €600M budget, a football quiz duel when two coaches want the same player, then a simulated match that you coach.
Four cards per position, 20 seconds to choose
The eleven positions come in order, from goalkeeper to left winger. At each one you get four cards, one per price level, from cheapest to most expensive (the two most expensive are marked Elite and Iconic). You have 20 seconds to tap one and confirm.
The real prices per position
- Goalkeeper: €30M, €50M, €60M or €70M.
- Defenders (full backs and centre backs): €30M, €50M, €60M or €80M.
- Midfielders: €30M, €50M, €70M or €90M.
- Forwards (wingers and striker): €30M, €50M, €70M or €100M.
An XI taken entirely at the lowest price costs €330M; an XI taken entirely at the highest price costs €960M. With €600M you have to choose where the money goes. For example, three Iconic forwards (€300M) and eight players at €30M (€240M) make €540M, leaving €60M to strengthen one or two positions.
The reserve rule
The game keeps €10M for every position you still have to fill. A card that would take you below that reserve can't be picked. If no card fits, or time runs out with no card tapped, you get a penalty player.
Three tips from the game's rules
- Play for cohesion: two or more players from the same club give your XI a small strength bonus.
- The right midfielder in the right spot: at the three midfield positions, cards mix defensive, central and attacking midfielders. A central midfielder fits almost anywhere, while a defensive midfielder used as a playmaker loses a lot of efficiency.
- Think about duels: if another coach wants the same card, a football quiz decides and the loser gets a penalty player. A less popular card is sometimes the safest pick.
