How to play Project XI
A game of Project XI takes a few minutes: you build an eleven-player team on a limited budget, win the football quiz duels, then your XI plays a simulated match that you coach.
1. Choose your mode
From the home screen, start the classic mode against AI coaches in one tap, or create a private lobby and invite your friends with a link, with or without AI coaches to fill the seats.
2. Build your XI in a 4-3-3 with €600M
The team is built position by position: goalkeeper, right back, two centre backs, left back, defensive midfielder, central midfielder, attacking midfielder, right winger, striker and left winger. Each round offers four players at different levels and you have 20 seconds: tap a card, then confirm. If time runs out, the card you tapped is taken automatically; with no card tapped, you get a penalty player.
3. The wheel of fortune
Once per game, each coach can spin the wheel during the draft: it can win or lose you money, or force you to swap a player.
4. The football quiz duel
If several coaches pick the same player, a football quiz question decides. The winner takes the card, the loser gets a penalty player.
5. The simulated match
Before kick-off you pick your game plan; at half-time you give your team talk, and you make decisions at key moments. Extra time and penalties settle draws when a winner is needed.
6. Progress
Create an account to save your progress, earn XI Coins, open card packs, take on challenges and climb the world ranking.
